What kind of payments does the service support?

Now you may pay your business obligations abroad, without having to visit a Piraeus Bank branch. The service supports payments abroad, in euro and in foreign currency, up to the amount of 50,000 € per transaction, for which documentation and approval is required, based on the current Act of Legislative Content issued under the Capital Controls.

How do I place the request?

To use this service, you must own a Piraeus Bank account and have access to the electronic banking system winbank web banking:

  • Connect to your winbank web banking using your User ID and personal identification number (PIN)
  • From the menu> TRANSFERS > Commercial Remittance, fill in the fields with the system guidance.
  • Select the account you wish to be debited with the transaction amount and relevant costs.
  • After filling in all the remittance details, attach the supporting documents, necessary for the transaction approval, and the Solemn Declaration (in a compressed file) from the menu "Select File".
  • Finally, enter the Extra PIN code that will be sent to you on your mobile or on the extraPIN generator that you have got from a Piraeus Bank branch.

How do I know the status of my remittance?

After placing your request, your transaction will be in status "in processing". When it is processed by the Bank, your transaction either will be completed or rejected, in accordance with the applicable procedures of the Bank and as defined in the current Act of Legislative Content. For the status of your transaction, you may be informed via winbank web banking from the menu> TRANSFERS> Payments / Transfers Management
