How to add a card

Adding your card to Apple Pay is simple. Here’s how to get started.

  • Via the new “winbank app” (iOS)

Log in to the new “winbank app” (iOS), navigate to the cards section, select the card you wish to add and select “Add to Apple Wallet”.

  • Via Wallet application

On iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap the “+” sign in the upper-right corner.
For Apple Watch, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, select “Wallet & Apple Pay” and then tap “Add Credit or Debit Card”.

Are my payments safe?

Feel safe when making a purchase, as a device-specific Device Account Number is assigned to your card once it is registered in Apple Pay for the specific device. Your card details (card number, expiration, CVV) are never stored on your device or on Apple servers and they will not be shared with merchants.

Please note that the device-specific Device Account Number used for your Apple Pay transactions is printed on the POS receipt.

Adding Cards

How can I add a card to Apple Pay?

Add your Piraeus Bank Visa and Mastercard® debit, credit and prepaid cards to each of your Apple devices:

A) Via the new “winbank app” (iOS):

1. Log in to the new “winbank app” on your Apple mobile and navigate to cards section.

2. Select the card you want to add and then, select "Add to Apple Wallet".

3. Transaction authorization is required using your Quick Login.

4. Your name and the last 4 digits of your card number appear on your screen.
To continue select: Next.

5. Accept the Piraeus Bank terms and conditions.

6. If required, enter the unique OTP code that you will receive via SMS on your mobile phone which you have declared to the Bank.

7. If you wish set this card as your default card in the Apple Pay Wallet.

Your card is now added to Apple Pay. Repeat the same process for each card you wish to add to Apple Pay.

B) Via Wallet application:

1. Open the Wallet App on your device.

2. Press the "+" symbol in the upper-right corner of your screen and select "continue".

3. Select Piraeus Bank from the list.

4. Scan the card with your device camera or enter its details.

5. Accept the Piraeus Bank terms & conditions.

6. A confirmation of your card details follows from the Bank.

7. Enter the unique OTP code that you will receive by SMS on the mobile phone which you have declared to the Bank.

Your card is now active in Apple Pay. Repeat the same process for each card you wish to add to Apple Pay.

I cannot complete the process of adding my card to Apple Pay; what can I do?

In case you are unable to complete the process of adding your card to Apple Pay, or you have not received the unique OTP code via SMS or the OTP expired before you used it, you should remove the card from the Wallet App and repeat the process.

In case you still cannot complete the process, you can contact Customer Service at 210 3288000.

How do I remove a card from Apple Wallet?

You can remove your cards through the Wallet application.

Troubleshooting

My physical registered in Apple Pay card has been lost / stolen what should I do?

In case of theft / loss of your card, contact Customer Service at 210 3288000. Your physical card will be replaced and once you receive and activate it, it will automatically be updated on Apple Pay without any further action. Apple Pay automatic update excludes debit cards that are reissued due to loss, theft or damage from the Piraeus Bank Branches or the Customer Service, for which you will need to go through the process of adding the new card to Apple Pay.

I am waiting for my card replacement; can I use it via Apple Pay until the new physical card arrives?

In case of a registered in Apple Pay card is replaced, either automatically due to expiration or at your request due to theft, loss or damage, transactions via Apple Pay may continue to be performed with it, for a limited period, even if the new card has not been activated yet. This period is provided by the Bank for your convenience and shall not replace your obligation to activate the new physical card. This period is not provided for debit cards that are reissued, due to theft, loss or damage, from the Piraeus Bank Branches or the Customer Service.

What happens if my device is replaced or updated?

In case that you replace or update your device, you will need to add your cards again to Apple Pay following the set-up process. It is strongly recommended to remove your cards from Apple Pay from your device before replacing it.
