You can get a Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card immediately at a Piraeus Bank branch**. Your card is ready to be used straightaway.


Versatility and worldwide acceptance 

 Load your Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card with cash as often as you wish. Use it for transactions until you have used up the available balance. Its maximum load limit is €2,500 per day and the maximum balance on the card is €10,000.

Issued in plastic form, the Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card is suitable both for remote transactions (online or over the phone) and for shopping and transactions wherever Visa is accepted, in Greece and abroad (either using plastic, or using digital wallets - smart payments). The Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card also accepts refunds if you need to return products you have bought using it.

With the Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card you no longer need to carry cash, e.g. when you travel. To use your card, simply load it with the amount you plan to spend. If you don’t spend all its funds, you can unload it. This way, you get to determine the balance of your card at any given moment. This protects your card against fraudulent use and gives you peace of mind.

The Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card is a Chip & PIN and contactless transaction plastic card. You can reload it to shop and make transactions wherever Visa is accepted, in Greece and abroad.


No annual fee

The Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card has no annual fee.



Direct debit

The Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card is a prepaid card. It is neither a credit nor a debit card. It is not linked to any account. Transactions are paid for by debiting the funds available on your card. No interest is charged. Unless there are enough funds on your card, transactions cannot be completed.



Daily transaction limit

Up to €10.000

Use the Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card at any merchant worldwide accepting Mastercard®, but make sure there are enough funds loaded on it to cover your transactions. You may not exceed €10,000 in transactions per day. This daily transaction limit cannot change.

You set the amount of money you load onto your Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card. The load limit is daily, so you may load your Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card as many times as you wish in a day, but in total they may not exceed €2,500 per day.


Transactions

Use your Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card round the clock for transactions online or at physical stores around the world, as long as there are enough funds loaded on it. Make as many transactions as you wish until you have used up the available balance. After that, no transaction can be made, unless you load more funds on your card.
Carry out secure, convenient and fast contactless transactions (either using plastic, or using digital wallets - smart payments). at all points of sale displaying the relevant  logo.

Your Piraeus Prepaid Visa Card also accepts refunds if you return goods you have bought using it. You can also use it for cash advances at ATMs.

How to get it

If you are not a Piraeus Bank customer, you can issue it at any Piraeus Bank branch (except e-branches), by bringing with you the  necessary supporting documents. You are not required to open an account or get any other product. You receive your card and PIN immediately. Once you load it at the branch cashier, you can use it straightaway until you have used up all the available balance.

If you are a Piraeus Bank customer, just show your ID card. Within just a few minutes, you receive your reloadable card.

If you are a Piraeus Bank’s customer it is possible that the identification documents you have provided to the Bank may not be valid as they are outdated. In this case you have to provide us with the necessary updated documentation.
