Piraeus participates in the national school infrastructure upgrade programme “Marietta Giannakou”, actively contributing to the improvement of the educational environment across the country.

The Bank’s participation is part of Piraeus’ EQUALL Corporate Responsibility strategy, aiming to support the younger generation, enhance the quality of public education, and create equal opportunities through a high-quality and safe learning environment.

Piraeus’ Contribution

Piraeus Bank participates in the programme with a total contribution of approximately €25 million annually, supporting the upgrade of around 160 school units across Greece each year.

This contribution is directed toward works that enhance:

• the safety of school facilities
• the functionality and daily experience of students and teachers
• the accessibility and aesthetics of school spaces
