Women in Agriculture

Women in Agriculture is a programme that combines training and experiential learning (Learning by studying) with skills in Generative Artificial Intelligence and Mentoring (Learning by doing), and is aimed at all women who are involved or intend to become professionally involved in agri-food / agritourism. 

Participation in the programme and access to the digital training and mentoring platforms are free of charge and last for a total of three months.

The programme consists of two parts:
Training & Experiential Learning (Learning by studying)

A 26-hour course designed by 100mentors, the American Farm School, and the Alba Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece. 

The topics will focus on the digitization of farms, entrepreneurship, and green agriculture. Sector-specific training and live experiential learning sessions will be held with farmers who will showcase best practices.

Skills in Generative Artificial Intelligence and Mentoring (Learning by doing)

Specially designed by the 100mentors team to develop participants’ soft skills and enable them to interact effectively with Generative Artificial Intelligence, through workflows tailored to their needs, utilizing wiserwork. 

In addition, it includes personalized mentoring from a specially trained community of mentors, through a tool that combines Generative Artificial Intelligence with Human Intelligence, to help participants deepen their knowledge.

What is the Women in Agriculture programme?

Women in Agriculture is a free educational programme run by Piraeus and aimed at empowering and supporting women who want to pursue a career in the agri-food sector or agritourism. 

The programme’s goal is to offer participants a comprehensive educational approach that will support and empower them in achieving their goals.

What does the programme include?

The programme consists of two parts: 
I. Training & Experiential Learning (Learning by studying), with a total duration of 26 hours, divided into 4 modules, developed by the American Farm School, Alba Graduate Business School, and the 100mentors team. 

II. Skills in Generative Artificial Intelligence and Mentoring (Learning by doing), specially designed by the 100mentors team. The course combines hands-on training in Generative AI skills within workflows tailored to the participants’ needs, using wiserwork. Participants practice workflows such as Project Management and Marketing & Sales, while receiving personalized mentoring from a specially trained community of mentors to further develop their skills and workflows.

Who is eligible to participate in the programme?

Women over the age of 18 from all over Greece who aim to start a new business or expand an existing one within the next 6 months.

Is participation in the programme free?

Yes, participation in the Women in Agriculture programme is completely free of charge.

Who is implementing the programme?

Women in Agriculture was launched on the initiative of Piraeus Bank and is run by the 100mentors team, the American Farm School, and Alba Graduate Business School.

How long does the programme last?

The programme lasts three months. Classes will be held on previously agreed-upon days and times that will be communicated to participants before the programme begins.

How will the programme be implemented?

The programme will be delivered entirely online, via distance learning. Participants will be able to take part in the programme from anywhere, provided they have a stable internet connection and the necessary equipment.

Do I need special equipment to take the programme?

All you need is a PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone and a stable internet connection to attend the sessions as part of the synchronous distance learning programme and to connect to the 100mentors platform, wiserwork.

What do the training and practical application of Generative AI Skills and Mentoring offer?

They provide you with essential knowledge and skills for leveraging Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in your work and daily life. The experience includes:

  • Asynchronous training via the GenAI Fundamentals course (5–7 additional hours) to gain an understanding of and learn how to use GenAI. 
  • Live workshops featuring hands-on application of GenAI in workflows related to Project Management and Marketing & Sales. 
  • Asynchronous practice via Wiserwork, so you can apply what you learn at your own pace. 
  • Personalized mentoring from a qualified community of mentors, through the wiserwork platform.

In what language will the programme be held?

Both parts of the programme will be held in Greek. However, a basic knowledge of English is recommended, as you are likely to encounter some English terminology.

Will I receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the programme?

In order to receive a certificate of completion for the programme, your participation is required in both components (Training and Skills in Generative Artificial Intelligence and Mentoring). Specifically, successful completion requires:  
A) Attendance of at least 70% of the total class hours. 
B) Completion of the GenAI Fundamentals course. 
C) Recognition as GenAI Empowered by creating a workflow on the 100mentors wiserwork platform. 
D) Completion of programme assessment questionnaires.

Do I need to prepare in any way to participate in this programme?

No, you don't need to prepare for your participation in the programme.

What are the next steps after applying?

After submitting your application, you will be required to sit a short interview. This will be followed by the assessment phase, during which you will be informed of the status of your application.
