Generation 17

Piraeus Bank participated in the Generation 17 initiative for the promotion of the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals, as a Goal #5 - Gender Equality sponsor and offered a large-scale mural, created by the internationally renowned street artist Atek, to promote open dialogue, outreach, and awareness-raising among citizens aiming at the eradication of gender inequalities.

The mural was painted on a building that houses Piraeus Bank services in Athens, at 31 Panepistimiou Street, opposite the Athenian Trilogy, a historical landmark of the capital.

It depicts the modern woman, who balances multiple roles, projecting her identity and claiming equal position in society without exclusion and discrimination. In addition, Piraeus Bank created an informative video and a podcast presenting its actions and initiatives for Gender Equality. The Generation 17 initiative was carried out in cooperation with ελculture.
