Eligibility criteria

This cooperation, between Piraeus Bank and European Investment Bank provides financing in the form of working capital and or medium-long term investment loans. The loan amount ranges from €20,000 to €12.5 million and can be used to cover expenses for:

  • Tangible assets (purchase of equipment, renovation expenses etc)
  • Intangible assets (financing Research and Development expenses etc)
  • Working capital

Repayment method

  • In 3-monthly, 6-monthly or annual instalments that pay interest and capital or capital.

Eligible Beneficiaries

  • All types of Small and Medium Enterprises which employ less than 250 employees
  • Midcap enterprises employing between 250-3000 employees irrespective of turnover and total assets.
  • Enterprises that are located, operate and invest in Greek territory
  • Enterprises that have not been declared as a firm in difficulty

Jobs for Youth Initiative

Through this initiative, companies that support the employment of young people (age ranging from 15-25 years old) with one of the following ways, can obtain financing in more favorable terms. In particular:

  • If during the last six months the company has hired and still employs or intends to hire within six months at least one new employee (for SMEs) or at least 5 employees (for Midcap)
  • If the company offers vocational training or internships to young people
  • If the company has an active cooperation agreement with a technological or scientific institution targeting at youth employment (eg possibility of internships during the summer months)
