EQUALL – Livestock Farming Support Programme

The “Livestock Farming Support Programme” is an initiative by Piraeus Bank, implemented in collaboration with the Laboratory of Animal Production & Environmental Protection of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), aiming to support and strengthen Greek livestock farming.

Amid a particularly challenging period for the livestock sector - due to sheep pox, foot-and-mouth disease, and their consequences - the restoration of farms that were destroyed by recent natural disasters and epidemics constitutes a critical social, economic, and environmental challenge.

The restart of animal farming in holdings affected by natural disasters and epidemics
