How do I install the Piraeus app?

Download the Piraeus app from App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) or App Gallery (Huawei) by typing Piraeus app and click Get (iOS) or Install (Android) or Install (Huawei).

Emergency support

I forgot / blocked my Piraeus e-banking password

If you don't remember your username, you can retrieve it by clicking here.

Alternatively, you can call the telephone service at +30 210 32 88 000.

Temporary card deactivation

If you wish to temporarily suspend the use of your card, you can do so by selecting "Cards" from the Piraeus e-banking menu, then the card you wish to temporarily deactivate (credit, debit or prepaid) and from the relevant services that appear on the right side of the screen, select the option Τemporary Block of Card Usage/Unblock of Card Usage.

Similarly, via the Piraeus app you can select the card you want to deactivate and then tap "Lock" .The deactivation of your card is complete.

Note: This feature does not apply to the WEBUY card.

I lost/my card was stolen

Call us immediately at +30 210 32 88 000 from Greece or abroad to report the theft or loss of your card. 

In case you wish to temporarily suspend/block your card you can do so directly via the Piraeus e-banking.

The ATM is not releasing my card

In case the ATM holds the card or you experience any problem during the transaction, please contact Piraeus Bank at +30 210 32 88 000.

I found a suspicious transaction on my card

If you notice any transaction that you have not made, please inform Piraeus Bank immediately at +30 210 32 88 000.

If you think someone has phished your Password (PIN), change it immediately. Log in to Piraeus e-banking and change this item in your "Profile". In addition, inform us immediately by calling +30 210 32 88 000.

If you wish to temporary block the usage of your card, log in to Piraeus e-banking and from the menu you select Cards --> My Credit Cards/My Debit Cards/ My Prepaid Cards and then from the related services at the right side of the screen you select Τemporary Block of Card Usage/Unblock of Card Usage.

Similarly, via the Piraeus app you can select the card you want to deactivate and then tap "Block" .The deactivation of your card is complete.

Note: This feature does not apply to the WEBUY card.

What are the requirements to become a customer of Piraeus Bank?

To become a customer and open your first account, you need to:

  • be an individual
  • be 18 years old or older
  • be a permanent resident and taxed exclusively in Greece
  • present a Greek identity card with Latin characters for identification during the video call
  • not already be a customer of Piraeus Bank

Is there a fee to register online as a new customer of Piraeus Bank?

No, the service is free of charge.

What happens if my registration process is interrupted?

If the process is interrupted at any point, you can restart the process within 12 hours. Your progress is saved, and you will continue from the point where the interruption occurred. After 12 hours, you can start the process again from the beginning.

Why can't I continue after e-Gov authentication?

Possible reasons that may prevent you from continuing are:

  • you are underage
  • you have a residential address outside Greece
  • indications appear that you are not taxed exclusively in Greece
  • you are already a Piraeus Bank customer
  • your e-Gov details are invalid or incomplete

Can I open an account if my profession details on e-Gov are missing?

Yes, but you will need to declare your status (e.g., student, housemaker, unemployed, income earner).

Is it possible to service customers with disabilities (PWD)?

There is the possibility to serve people with hearing impairments, as the Piraeus Bank representative in the video call is sign language trained.

How can I activate the service for bill payments?

Activation is easily done via Piraeus web banking & Piraeus phone banking or via any Piraeus Bank branch.

How can I issue the e-Administrative Fee?

Receive your electronic fee via:

  • Piraeus web banking: Login to e-banking and select Payments > e-Administrative Fee > Issuance.
  • Piraeus app: Login to e-banking and select Issuance of e-Administrative Fee.
  • Piraeus phone banking: Call 210 32 88 000 from a landline or mobile in Greece or +30 210 3288000 from abroad.

 

What do I need to issue the e-Administrative Fee?

  • The public body
  • The Administrative Fee Category
  • The Administrative Fee Type
  • The debtor’s data e.g. full name, father's name, VAT

How will I be informed for the issue of my statement?

When a new statement is issued, the e-statement service notifies you free of charge by e-mail. To view it, log in to Piraeus e-banking. This gives you access to your e-statement wherever you are.

How can payment be made?

Payment can be made online via Piraeus e-banking or at a bank branch.

How do I pay my bills?

The payment of your bills can be executed through:

  • a direct debit on a deposit account or a Piraeus Bank credit card
  • an online payment order by charging a deposit account or a Piraeus Bank credit card, via Piraeus e-banking

Where can I send a remittance?

You can transfer money anywhere in the world via Piraeus e-banking, Piraeus phone banking and branch. Through Piraeus app, countries must support beneficiary account numbers in IBAN format. The service is provided under the applicable legal and regulatory framework.

What are the benefits of the epay by link service?

  • Accept payments with ease, without the need to maintain your own website, application or POS terminal.
  • Improved user experience: you can share the epay by link in any desired channel. Via SMS, social media, chat, email, etc.
  • Speed in payments, your customers can pay for the service/product they want with just one click.
  • Increase in sales: The percentage of customers who abandon the purchase at the time of payment is reduced.
  • Payment page with your own logo and name, so that the customer receives a common experience.

Can the package renewal be done automatically?

Αutomatically renew your package by charging your account or card and get the service for the period of your choice. In case you have not selected automatic renewal of your plan, the service will be automatically cancelled on the expiry date and you will be able to purchase any other plan of your choice.

The service informs you automatically and inexpensively via a special SMS message when your package is not renewed due to insufficient balance on your card or account.

Phone alerts will continue to exist without being included in a subscription package, while their activation and management will be done only through the phone banking service and the bank's branch network.

Can I change the service settings?

You can configure your package according to your preferences. In particular, you can change the language of the alerts, the notification methods (e-mail and/ or mobile phone number) and set silent hours when you do not want to receive alerts.

Can I upgrade or cancel my package?

During your use of the service, you have the option to:

  • Upgrade your plan at any time, in order to increase its duration, by switching from the monthly plan to the annual plan, which provides 2 months of free use. You can also change the conditions of your alerts. In the case of an upgrade, the expiry date of your plan is automatically adjusted based on the duration of the new plan you choose.
  • Cancellation of your package at any Piraeus Bank branch, at any time, in order to purchase another package or discontinue the service, with a proportional refund of the initial charge of your package to your account or card.

How can I contact my business partner?

To contact your business partner you need: 

  • have active codes in the Piraeus e-banking service. In case you do not have access you can register for free here.
  • Have the Microsoft Teams application installed on your computer or mobile phone (if you cannot install the application, it is sufficient to have a link sent to you by your business partner).

What notifications can I receive about my portfolio?

The service notifies you immediately about specific changes to your portfolio that you define:

  • Changes in the balance of your company account
  • Selected transactions on your account, such as cash withdrawal, money transfer, payment of debts, credit transfers, interest and dividends
  • Transactions (purchases & withdrawals) with your corporate cards (credit, prepaid)
  • Issuance of credit card accounts
  • Reminders and executions of your company's scheduled payment orders
  • Purchase or sale of shares
  • Daily valuation of your stock portfolio

Investments

Can I choose more than one portfolio?

Yes. There is no limitation on the number of portfolios or on the individual categories (Greek, European, International Markets). The only limitation that exists is related to your Investment Profile, based on which you can invest in portfolios with a similar or lower risk profile.

What is the minimum entry fee and what commission will I pay?

The minimum amount of the initial contribution is €5,000. If you wish to reinvest in the same portfolio, the minimum amount of each additional participation is €1,000. Based on the tariff governing the service, the participation fee (initial and additional) is zero.

Is there a possibility of converting the capital into another currency? 

Yes, there is a possibility of converting your capital into another currency at the end of the investment, but at a predetermined exchange rate that you have agreed at the beginning of the investment. 

Are there other investment solutions besides Greek government bonds?

Due to the great diversity in the characteristics of the different types of bonds (government or non-government), the possibility of purchasing them is always in accordance with your investment profile, within the framework of the MiFID.
