How you benefit

High returns

Piraeus Megas time deposit, offers a high interest rate for your time deposit. At the same time, by investing part of your capital in selected mutual funds, you aim to maximize the returns on your investment.

The minimum invested amount in the Piraeus Bank Megastime deposit is €10,000.

Mutual funds have no guaranteed return and past returns do not guarantee future ones.

Allocate your capital as you wish

Your time deposit and your investment in mutual funds operate separately. For example, you can hold your mutual funds investment after the maturity of your time deposit.

You choose how to invest your capital:

 1.   Allocation between time deposit and mutual funds

    • 50% / 50%
    • 70% / 30%
    • 85% / 15%

 2.   Term of time deposit

        3, 6 or 12 months

 3.  Type of mutual funds

    • Bond funds
    • Equity funds
    • Balanced funds

Redemption of mutual funds shares

Whenever you want, you can redeem your mutual funds shares. This does not affect the interest rate of the time deposit and you also do not have to withdraw it earlier.

Option for an early withdrawal of the time deposit capital

Should you need the money deposited before the maturity date, you have the option of an early withdrawal of the total deposit amount. In that case, an early withdrawal penalty applies, calculated as follows:

2% x Withdrawn Capital x days remaining to maturity / 360 (days)

Early withdrawal penalty cannot exceed the total accrued credit interest of the time deposit.

The early withdrawal option is offered based on current Legislative Framework.

Interest Rates

Time deposit

The time deposit has a high, fixed rate throughout its term.

The interest rate depends on the allocation chosen, the term of the time deposit, the mutual funds asset class and it is paid at maturity.
