The insurance program offers you the following benefits: 

Comprehensive coverage

Property Insurance for Photovoltaic Units covers damages caused by named perils during the operation period of photovoltaic units installed on building roofs (house, or shop) or in plots. Insured risks include fire, lightning, flood and storm.

Restoration of damages at new value

In the event of foreseeable peril damage, the compensation you receive is calculated based on how much it would cost to rebuild the items, or replace them with new ones, at the time of damage, on the same premises.

  • ERGO Solar panel is provided to Photovoltaic units installed on a building roof (house or shop) with a maximum value under 50.000€.
  • ERGO Solar panel is provided to Photovoltaic systems installed on a building roof (house or shop), if the respective building was built after 1960 and the walls are made of reinforced concrete, brick, stone.
  • The short-circuit cover can be offered only to Photovoltaic units up to 8 years old (entry age to the insurance policy)
  • Special conditions apply per category of Photovoltaic unit (outdoors, on the roof), for which you can be further informed at a Piraeus Bank branch.
