Piraeus Bank Contract Farming agreement for cotton with K. V. Markou SA
Piraeus Bank concluded a new Contract Farming agreement for cotton growers in the Prefectures of Fthiotida and Viotia, in partnership with K. V. Markou SA, a member of the Markou Bros Group of companies.
The financing available under this Contract Farming agreement for the cotton sector will promote rational restructuring of the sector and provide financial support for the production process, while also covering the entire production chain right up to processing and sale of the products to the said company.
K. V. Markou SA has its facilities in Livadia and in Agios Andreas near Livadia. It is involved in cotton ginning, and the production of cotton oil and cottonseed meal, while it also trades in cotton, cereals and animal feed.
With extensive experience in cotton ginning, and a reliable track record in the service sector, the company is a leader among suppliers in the global cotton industry. Under this specific Piraeus Bank Contract Farming Agreement, growers will have all the liquidity they need at extremely competitive rates when they need it, as well as a guaranteed market for their end product.
The programme covers the entire production, supply and processing chain for the agricultural produce, ensuring mutually beneficial results for both growers and businesses.
