            Withdrawal Code

            What is the Withdrawal Code?

The Withdrawal Code is a unique 7-digit number that the system generates every time you issue an order to send cash through the instant cash service. It can only be used once. Only to withdraw the exact amount you have sent and only within the time limit.

Each Code has a set time limit, from 1 to 24 hours, which you specify when you issue the order. Once the Code has expired you cannot withdraw cash using this Code.

How will I receive the Withdrawal Code?

Depending on the service channel you used to issue the order and the manner you have chosen:

            • Printed on the ATM receipt
            • On your computer screen
            • Via SMS to your mobile
SMS sample for cash withdrawal through the instant cash service.

The Withdrawal Code time limit has expired. Can the recipient withdraw the cash I have sent?

No. The cash can only be withdrawn within the Withdrawal Code time limit. Once the Code has expired you cannot withdraw cash using this Code.

Why did the ATM cancel the Withdrawal Code before the expiry of the time limit without giving cash to the recipient?

At the ATM, the recipient must fill in the Withdrawal Code and the exact amount of money you have sent. If they get either of these two wrong 3 times, then the Withdrawal Code is cancelled and they can no longer withdraw the cash.

I have lost or forgotten the Withdrawal Code. What do I do?

There is no way to retrieve a Withdrawal Code. If you want the cash to be withdrawn, you have to issue a new order to send cash.
ATTENTION! If you suspect that the Withdrawal Code has been compromised, cancel your order:

            • winbank web banking
Log in > TRANSFERS / REMITTANCES > instant cash > History > Choose transaction > Cancel

Can the recipient withdraw a different amount of money from the one I sent?

No. The recipient can only withdraw the exact amount of money you have sent. They cannot withdraw either a higher or a lower amount.

At the ATM, the recipient must fill in the exact amount of money you have sent. If they enter the wrong amount 3 times, then the Withdrawal Code is cancelled and they can no longer withdraw the cash.

I have used up the daily withdrawal limit for my debit card. Can I withdraw more cash using the instant cash service?

Yes, provided there is enough available balance in your account.

The daily withdrawal limit for the instant cash service is separate from the daily withdrawal limit for your debit card. This means that you can send money even if you have used up the daily withdrawal limit for your card.

What if the ATM does not have enough paper to print the Withdrawal Code?

Then the Withdrawal Code will be sent via SMS. Choose Send via SMS to the mobile and fill in your mobile number.

Alternatively, you may cancel the transaction and commence the procedure again at another ATM which has enough paper for printing.

What if the ATM does not have enough cash for the withdrawal?

The Withdrawal Code remains active until the expiry of the time limit. So try to withdraw the cash from another ATM.

Some ATMs may give out a smaller amount than the amount requested by the recipient when they do not have enough available cash. This happens because certain ATMs do not count the bills when they give out the cash. If they don’t have enough available cash, they cannot cover the entire amount, so they give out a smaller amount.

In this case, we will charge your account with the smaller amount given out by the ATM and not with the initial amount in your order. However, the Withdrawal Code cannot be used again. If you want the remaining cash to be withdrawn, you have to issue a new order to send cash.

What if there isn’t enough available balance in my account?

The cash cannot be withdrawn. The ATM displays a message saying that the transaction cannot be completed.

However, the Withdrawal Code remains active until the expiry of the time limit. If you transfer cash to your account within this time limit, then the recipient may withdraw the cash using the same Code.

This may happen because the amount is not blocked in your account when you issue the order. So another transaction may be charged before the cash is withdrawn. If this transaction reduces the available balance to the extent that it cannot cover the amount sent, the recipient cannot withdraw the cash.

Why did the cash withdrawal fail?

For one or more of the following reasons:

            • The Withdrawal Code time limit has expired
            • The recipient entered the wrong Withdrawal Code 3 times
            • The recipient entered the wrong amount 3 times
            • There is no available balance in your account
            • The ATM does not have enough cash

The cash was not withdrawn. Will my account be charged?

No. We will charge your account only when the cash is withdrawn. We do not charge any additional commission or fees for the instant cash service.

Security when using winbank instant cash

Can an unknown third party withdraw the cash?

No, if they do not know the three pieces of information that safeguard the transaction:

            • The exact amount sent
            • The Withdrawal Code
            • The Withdrawal Code time limit

The cash can only be withdrawn within the Withdrawal Code time limit, which is 24 hours max. At the ATM, the recipient must fill in the Withdrawal Code and the exact amount of money you have sent. If they get either of these two wrong 3 times, then the Withdrawal Code is cancelled and they can no longer withdraw the cash.
