New Rice Contract Farming Agreement between Piraeus Bank and “EURICOM Hellas”

Piraeus Bank, in collaboration with “EURICOM Hellas”, has initiated a new Contract Farming Program intended for rice producers in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki.

The funding proposal for rice Contract Farming is essentially intended to help rationalize the organization and financially support the entire production process, from the producer to product processing and selling by the company.

ΕURICOM is active in processing-whitening and standardization of all rice varieties. The company is provided with rice from producers in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki and after the rice processing, the company places it through exporters and providers on the global food market.

“EURICOM Hellas” is a member of the Euricom Spa Group. EURICOM Group is one of the most important groups in the production and trading of rice, pasta and semolina in Europe, distributing more than 500.000 tons of rice annually. The company has ten rice production plants (in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Greece), two semolina production units (in Italy) and four pasta production plants (in Italy and Greece).

Through the Piraeus Bank Contract Farming Program, the producer is provided with the required liquidity at highly competitive terms, exactly when he needs such liquidity, while payment of the production agreed to be delivered to the company is guaranteed.

The Program covers the entire crops production and supply chain by supporting, in an organized manner the mutually beneficial collaboration between producers and the company.

This new collaboration attests to the firm will of Piraeus Bank to support and encourage any sound productive effort in the economy sector.
