  4th consecutive distinction, for Piraeus Bank
 

Deutsche Bank
Deutsche Bank has awarded to Piraeus Bank for the 4th consecutive year the "2006 EUR Straight Through Processing (STP) Excellence Award" for its excellent quality of Euro payments.

Compliance to the requirements of modern banking business, as well as the European Central Bank, adaptation of modern technologies and maintenance of Piraeus Bank Payment Systems superiority, were for one more year, the main objective of the bank.

This award has become more than a tradition for Piraeus Bank. It is a strong commitment that we will continue our effort for constant improvement of our payment systems, enriching the range of the available transactions and maintaining their flawless functionality and high quality customer services.

 

EFQM 2nd level
The International Payments & Central Operations Division of Piraeus Bank was honored with the "Recognised for Excellence in Europe - 4 stars" award of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), in 2007.

This is the first time this honor is awarded to an operational banking unit in Greece and in Europe.
The journey to Business Excellence and Total Quality begun in 2005 with the 1st Level of EFQM "Committed to Excellence" and continued in 2007 with the 2nd Level "Recognised for Excellence".

Truly excellent organizations are those that strive to satisfy their stakeholders by what they achieve, how they achieve it and what they are likely to achieve. This is hard enough at the best of times; sustaining it in a world of increasing global competition, rapid technological innovation, changing processes and frequent movement in the economic, social and customer environments, is even harder.

The Funds Transfers & Central Operations Division of Piraeus Bank, recognizing this challenge adopted, since 2004, the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Model in order to approach world-class management that would lead to sustainable and increasing excellence.
